Circle K CheckoutFrom IGD Aug2020 — Couche-Tard, which operates mainly under the Circle K brand globally, is partnering with Standard Cognition to pilot autonomous checkout technology at four stores in Arizona.

Under this partnership, the two companies will retrofit an existing convenience store with autonomous checkout technology in Phoenix. San Francisco based Standard Cognition was one of the first startups in this space, opening a cashierless store in the city in 2018. Having raised $86m in funding, it is working with retailers in the US and internationally.
