The Smart Card Alliance Center of Excellence designation recognizes an elite mix of member companies who, each year, reach the highest level of active participation in the Alliance by having made outstanding contributions in the form of providing valuable time, talent and resources across a wide mix of Alliance activities.

Ingenico Group (Euronext: FR0000125346 – ING), global leader in seamless payment solutions, announced today that it has received the Smart Card Alliance “Center of Excellence” designation for 2015 – its second year in a row.

The Smart Card Alliance Center of Excellence designation recognizes an elite mix of member companies who, each year, reach the highest level of active participation in the Alliance by having made outstanding contributions in the form of providing valuable time, talent and resources across a wide mix of Alliance activities. Ingenico Group is on the Alliance Board of Directors, is active in the Payments Council and participates in speaking events at both General Member and Payments Council meetings. Its executives also provide technical input on various working committees. As a member of the council, Ingenico Group has the opportunity to meet and work with other Alliance members in a mutually respectful and non-competitive environment to help advance the use of smart card technology for payments in the U.S.

“The COE designation indicates that Ingenico Group’s participation in the Smart Card Alliance spans across all its activities and projects in a meaningful way.” said Randy Vanderhoof, Executive Director, Smart Card Alliance. “We are delighted to recognize Ingenico Group for its dedication to the mission of the Smart Card Alliance, and welcome their continued expertise and knowledge as we continue to move forward.”

“We’re honored to have received the Smart Card Alliance Center of Excellence designation for the second straight year,” said Allen Friedman, Vice President of Payment Solutions, North America at Ingenico Group, and member of the Smart Card Alliance Board of Directors. “The Alliance is a forum for so many smart card innovations, and the relationships we’ve formed here have helped strengthen our business and our U.S. presence.”

Smart Card Alliance Center of Excellence honorees were recognized at an awards dinner held last night at the Smart Card Alliance Member Meeting at the Arizona Grand Resort in Phoenix, Arizona.
